Go Away

“Go Away” is one of three lead singles by K-pop group 2NE1 from their first full album To Anyone, and became a hit on various on- and offline charts.

The song was announced as one of three lead title singles from their album. A 90-second teaser was released just days before its official release. The music video for the song was released a day after the album’s release.

The song topped various online charts along with the other two title tracks. They mainly changed their positions between the top 3.

The music video is mainly based around a character portrayed by 2NE1 member CL, who has broken up with her boyfriend. When she goes back to see him, he abuses her. In the end, CL’s character crashes into him during a race. The black car CL is driving explodes.

However, the video distinguishes between the character CL portrays and CL as a member of a musical group. In scenes showing 2NE1 as a musical group, the members play instruments and perform the song. In these scenes, 2NE1 relays the message in the lyrics, to just walk away from a bad relationship.
