Ipartment (《爱情公寓》), the Chinese version of the hit American TV comedy Friends, has been broadcast by Jiangxi Satellite TV since August 6. It has made audiences laugh until they cry because the scripts are littered with popular jokes from the Internet. It has also added a touch of detective and horror-story elements often found on US comedies such as Lost and 24. The drama follows the lives of seven young males and females who move into a rental apartment in the city of Shanghai. There are sparks of love that light up the light-hearted happenings of their normal, daily lives.
