TESSA Prieto-Valdez is a class of her own.
Her flamboyant attires, with matching hats or headdresses and gay makeup is a trademark. In gay lingo – she’s unkabogable.
During the first quarter surge of TV5 March shows held at the NBC Tent, The Fort, Tessa as host was an eye popper, wearing a headdress like the Eiffel Tower in glorious red and white stripes.
People are curious why she’s doing that. And why Tessa is still working when she doesn’t need to earn a living. The fact is she comes from an affluent family which has various business interests.
But Tessa’s earnings are mostly spent on her wardrobes. Some part go to her foundation and to her favorite charity, the Red Cross. Sensible enough unlike other rich and famous personalities who do nothing but socialize and squander their family money.
There is a story behind it. When her brother died years ago, Tessa, instead of sulking came up with a bright idea of dressing the way we see her now. Now, she is showbiz figure, hosting various events and TV shows. Tessa is one of the hosts of the new TV5 show, “Game ‘n’ Go” starting March 26 and in the biggest reality show franchise, “Extreme Home Makeover Philippine edition” with Paolo Bediones, Divine Lee, Tristan Jovellana, Marilen Montenegro and Jovy Belmonte.
MIGZ DOES DUTY OUTSIDE SENATE
FORMER Senator Migz Zubiri may no longer be in the Senate but , he didn’t stop working for the benefit of the people by forming the so-called EcoWarriors composed of Rico Blanco, popular singer artist, and “Born to be Wild” host and top rated veterinarian Doc Nielsen Donato, along with wildlife conservationist Indira Lacerna-Widmann of the Katala Foundation based in Palawan.
The Ecowarriors is bound to tell us that our environment has been abused already and that the result is deeply felt by the passing of many calamities that destroy not only properties but lives of people, animals and the future.
One staple food of the country is fish. Lately, it is reported that there is shortage of fish in the ocean due to illegal dynamite fishing. The citizenry can help by taking videos and report them to the DENR or EcoWarriors and be a dedicated volunteer.
A thorough campaign is on, one of which is a concert on March 16. “Be a good Filipino, fight poverty and get involved in combating unlawful acts that will deprive the future of your children,” says Migz Zubiri who came to the presscon with his beautous wife, Audrey.

On Friday night, expect another award-winning episode as “Bubble Gang” has prepared something funnier than past episodes. With Ogie Alcasid and Michael V—the tandem to beat plus Rufa Mae Quinto, Maureen Larrazabal, Antonio Aquitania, Boy2 Quizon and the new sexy bunch of stars, led by Sam Pinto, Solenn Heusaff, among others, Friday is filled with unmatched quality laughter.
